Medicated Abortion Information & Referrals
On May 2, 2023, legislation was checked in New York State (A1295-C/S1213-B) that requires all public colleges and universities in the SUNY and CUNY systems use access to medication abortion. The law requires that every SUNY and CUNY school offer access to abortion medication to their trainee body either by employing or contracting with licensed people who may prescribe abortion prescription drugs, or by providing trainees with details and referrals to suppliers authorized to prescribe abortion medication.
Westchester Community College does not supply pre-natal care on-campus. The Health Services website will keep a list of neighborhood companies and/or suppliers licensed to recommend abortion medication. Students will be referred to the Office of Accessibility Services for pregnancy or pregnancy related accommodations.

Allied Health Students:
Upon admission to programs within the Health Sciences Curriculums that need clinical rotations to various health centers, trainees will need to send paperwork of the results of a physical exam, lab tests, and specific vaccinations to Health Services. The nurses will review and offer clearances to those trainees who have actually satisfied the requirements as stated by the New york city State Department of Health for Healthcare Personnel and Clinical Affiliates. Each program (curriculum) needs the physical examination procedure be done at specific times.
